August 5th, 2024, ARCATA, California — Cal Poly Humboldt, in collaboration with Compass Group, a global leader in food service management, is excited to announce the launch of an innovative on-campus delivery service, BYPPOCAMPUS.
Starting August 1st, students can apply to become delivery runners via the BYPPO Delivery Hero app, offering a unique opportunity to earn extra money while enhancing the campus dining experience.
“Humboldt Dining is thrilled to launch the new BYPPOCampus student-to-student food delivery service at Cal Poly Humboldt! Students can become food delivery runners, earning extra income while enhancing the campus dining experience, said John Shermer, Director of Marketing of Humboldt Dining.
“This innovative service will provide greater convenience and flexibility, making it easier than ever for students to enjoy meals from their favorite campus dining spots. We are eager to see the positive impact BYPPO will have on our campus community.”
The delivery service will cater to four popular dining locations on campus: Bigfoot Burgers, The Depot, The Cupboard, and College Creek Marketplace. This initiative is designed to create a seamless, eco-friendly, and convenient food delivery solution for the Cal Poly Humboldt community.

The student-to-student delivery program leverages advanced mobile ordering and delivery technology to ensure a smooth and efficient process. By using energy-efficient scooters, bicycles, and walking, the program emphasizes sustainability and aims to reduce the campus's carbon footprint.
Through the BYPPO Delivery Hero app, students can conveniently order meals from the participating dining locations and have them delivered directly to their dorms or other campus locations. This initiative is part of Cal Poly Humboldt’s ongoing efforts to enhance student life and foster a sense of community on campus.
